The Indian Space Research Organisation and the CSIR-National Physical Laboratory have been predicted to signal an MoU on Friday for this indegenous machine named as Navigation with Indian Constellation (NavIC), the TOI said.
As according to the plan, the desi GPS will formally get synchronised with the Indian Standard Time (IST) maintained by Delhi-primarily based NPL - India's timekeeper, the file said.

Citing MoS for space & atomic strength Jitendra Singh, the report but said the NavIC can also take several years before it will become operational within the market.

A constellation of seven satellites will include the NavIC, so one can offer Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) services in India and the adjacent region up to one,500 km, the report stated.

The NavIC will offer  kinds of offerings - Standard Positioning Service (SPS) and Restricted Service (RS), it delivered.
